Recuperol is an electrolyte and vitamin drink that helps with sports performance and recovery. Recuperol helps replace the fluids (and electrolytes) lost in sweat and rehydrates you as fast as possible. Most drinks that are currently used (like Powerade and Lucozade) are isotonic drinks, which means they can provide large amounts of carbohydrate energy (that can be easily supplied through food). The issue with this is that they don’t solve one of the most important aspects of performance - hydration. Recuperol is a hypotonic drink that solves this issue and therefore can impact performance.

Maltodextrin is a fast-digesting carbohydrate so it’s often included in sports drinks and snacks to give athletes a quick boost of energy. Maltodextrin does not use as much water to digest as some other carbohydrates so you get your quick energy boost without becoming more dehydrated. Many customers have commented on the great taste and texture of recuperol and, despite the small quantity in each sachet, maltodextrin does play a part in that. As well as the delicious taste and texture, Maltodextrin is gluten-free and dairy-free, another reason why we included it in recuperol.

There is less than 1g of sugar per serving. Sugar is necessary for recuperol to conform to World Health Organisation standards for an oral rehydration solution. The composition of electrolytes and glucose (sugar) make recuperol a hypotonic drink; the fastest way possible to rehydrate.
